It was a record-breaking season for the Ktm Protek Elettrosystem team who wanted to celebrate their 2025 together with athletes, staff, sponsors, and many friends. The mountain bike racing team founded by the Torrevilla Bike group is a true excellence in the Italian off-road panorama and is specialized in training young generations of bikers who are already competing at high levels. The numbers speak clearly, 22 seasonal victories and a total of 59 podium finishes, one of the most beautiful years for the team based in Monticello Brianza. The end-of-year dinner has now become a tradition to celebrate together and experience a unique culinary journey; this time, Villa Greppi, a historic residence of Count Alessandro Greppi and a place of local interest, hosted the celebrations.
Last night's event, hosted by journalist Fabio Balbi, was an opportunity to celebrate together and thank everyone who has always believed in the project. "Reuniting at the end of the season has become our tradition, as well as offering you a special place to eat together. Our 2025 was fabulous, our girls and boys brought 22 victories to the team, and I think it's the most beautiful result of the last 10 years. We are a very united group that strongly believes in its athletes, we work closely with young people and try to educate them in respect and commitment to everything they do, and they repay us by giving 100%." said Torrevilla Bike President Fabrizio Pirovano, accompanied by Luca Maggioni, who leads the competitive selection. In the off-road world, Ktm Protek Elettrosystem is a true institution that consolidates its good relationship with the Italian National Team. In the continental review, 3 medals came directly from the Brianza team's athletes, who then brought 5 of their riders to the world championships.
Many authorities attended the evening, starting with Monticello Brianza's mayor and Lecco province president Alessandra Hofmann, who is also a great cycling enthusiast. There were also Lecco Provincial Committee President Alessandro Bonacina, National Team Coach Mirco Celestino, and Lombardy Regional Committee President Stefano Pedrinazzi, who highlighted the value of a sports society like Ktm Protek Elettrosystem. "The work done by the entire Torrevilla Bike group is a great pride for the Lombard committee. It's a united and well-established team that works very well with young people, helping them grow and guiding them towards a fascinating sport like MTB," said Pedrinazzi. "Often, the cross-country specialty is underestimated, but we must absolutely not forget that it is an Olympic discipline we must work on and invest in."
Ktm Protek Elettrosystem athletes were the evening's main protagonists, and among memories and hugs, part of the roster for the new season was presented to the public. In the junior category, Ettore Fabbro and Elisa Giangrasso continue their journey, with Giangrasso joining the team mid-season and finishing third in the Italian championships. Among the under-23s, Fabio Bassignana and Giulio Peruzzo, and in the Elite category, Matteo Siffredi (2025 Italian under-23 champion), Gioele Bertolini, and Emanuele Bocchio Vega. The new faces of the Ktm Protek Elettrosystem Team will be Marika Celestino (Under 23) and Riccardo Fasoli (Junior).
It's not just about competitive cycling with Ktm Protek Elettrosystem because Torrevilla Bike is famous in the area for its hiking group with over 100 members and especially for Pedala coi Lupi. On paper, it's described as a non-competitive night ride, but in reality, it's a unique bicycle experience with lights, music, and truly special shows, a now well-established tradition that welcomes many enthusiasts every year. After two editions in Monticello and Monza Park, for some years now, all energies have been focused on organizing the event in the provincial capital, which becomes increasingly spectacular.
Many were present at the evening, including collaborators, sponsors, and friends who help the Torrevilla Bike group shine. Among these, we remember Renzo Pozzi, Italian junior champion in 1972 and a true local icon, and Nadia Quagliotto from Team Cofidis. The Venetian athlete is already preparing for 2026, with her debut scheduled in Spain in February.
