Mario Cipollini makes his voice heard, returning to talk about cycling on social media after recent posts about his... cardiac experiences: "I would like to hear the opinion of you fans. In my view, the proposal made by some of my former colleagues is not the right idea. This is especially true for the major races, like the Giro d'Italia, Il Lombardia, and Milan-Sanremo. These races are part of cycling's heritage, a sport based on the simple but direct contact between fan and champion. Not to mention that the start and finish locations of each stage invest community money to host the Giro and promote the territory, so charging a ticket would be like forcing the fan to pay twice. At most, the solution of charging a ticket could be adopted for circuit races, but even this is an idea that needs discussion...".
