The "Brescia Cycling Festival" was held yesterday: the Provincial Committee of Brescia, organizer of the ceremony, celebrated the 2025 season of its champions. The event took place at the Capretti Auditorium at the Artigianelli Institute, in the heart of Brescia.

Hosting the event was FCI provincial president Paolo Zanesi, who, on behalf of the entire committee, thanked the societies, athletes, volunteers, and all the various components that made possible a season full of satisfaction.

Many guests were present: first and foremost, Federciclismo president Cordiano Dagnoni, regional FCI councilor Claudio Roncalli, Brescia provincial councilor with sports delegation Tommaso Brognoli, Brescia city council members Luca Pomarici and Daniele Balzi, and Daniele Balzi, president of the national referees commission. Brescian representatives who work in the sector at national or regional levels were also present.

An important presence at the event was that of technical commissioners Marco Villa, Marco Velo, and Mirko Celestino, who also presented awards to the athletes.

Young riders, competitive cyclists, amateurs, and paralympic athletes; from road to off-road. One by one, all the award winners took the stage to receive proper recognition for their achievements. Special praise was given to Fausto Bertoglio, 50 years after his Giro d'Italia triumph, and Christian Scaroni, winner of the 16th stage of the 2025 Giro and the Coppa Italia delle Regioni.

The presentation of the Leonessa d'Oro Award to Rocco Vittorio, a meritorious judge and valuable assistant at numerous Giovanissimi category races, was particularly emotional.

Joy was evident in the closing words of provincial president Paolo Zanesi: "Very satisfied with the numerous participation. This is an important sign for us that demonstrates the Brescia cycling movement is active. The presence of almost all the awarded athletes pleased us greatly. I renew my thanks to all my collaborators for staging an impeccable awards ceremony. We are ready to face a new season with enthusiasm and in service of Brescia's cycling societies".
