Three new signings, seven different nations, and 17 familiar faces for Team Novo Nordisk in 2026: the world's first and only professional cycling team composed exclusively of diabetics, has today announced its roster of 20 athletes for the next season, once again highlighting the importance of its development pathway.
The French riders Louis-Marie Posnic and Lucas Terrier join the Development Team, along with the young and promising Spanish talent Juan José Lopez, while key renewals include captain Andrea Peron and experienced climber David Lozano.
«We have recognized many times in the past how important our development pathway is, and I am pleased to be here announcing three more young talents who will move to the professional team. Welcome to Louis-Marie, Lucas, and Juan José,» began General Manager Vassili Davidenko. «It takes a lot of work, and year after year we are able to contribute to the development of these young athletes living with type 1 diabetes and offer them a platform to progress and compete against the world's best cyclists wearing the Team Novo Nordisk jersey».
Italian rider Filippo Ridolfo remains at the head of the group of young talents aiming to consolidate the excellent performances of 2025, which also include his compatriots Antonio Polga and Alessandro Perracchione.
«Equally important is maintaining the team's foundation, a key factor in ensuring stability,» Davidenko continued. «Therefore, it is crucial for us to ensure that our experienced riders remain motivated and that our young talents are on the right path to continue growing. Confirming Andrea, Filippo, David, and the others gives us stability, and with their combined experience, they have the tools to immediately help our new riders».
Louis-Marie Posnic: «I am very happy and proud to be joining Team Novo Nordisk Pro next year. I am realizing one of my childhood's greatest dreams: becoming a professional, so I can't wait to start the 2026 season. The time spent with the TNN Development team allowed me to gain experience and progress: they were two wonderful years in the Devo team, and one of my best memories is the Czech Tour, ridden with a mixed Devo/Pro team. I felt great on the bike and learned a lot at this level. I would love to participate in the Cholet Agglo Tour next year because it passes less than two kilometers from my home, and it's a race I've dreamed of doing since I was a child».
Lucas Terrier: «Becoming a professional with Team Novo Nordisk in 2026 is something special. I've dreamed of becoming a professional cyclist for many years, remembering when as a child I watched my idols on TV, and now having the opportunity to race against them at 19 gives me goosebumps. Even more so because I'll do it in an incredible team like TNN, which has inspired me since I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I spent only one year with the Devo Team, but what a year! The athletes, who are now much more than teammates but friends, and the entire staff have been fantastic. I will remember every race and the training camps we did around the world, but also the moments off the bike where we shared our cultures and how we face diabetes. By continuously learning and sharing, the team quickly became a second family to me».
Juan José Lopez: «I still can't believe it. Since I joined the Talent ID Camp, I have been inspired by the team's mission and the riders around me. Now, having the opportunity to make the jump to the professional team is incredible. Honestly, all the time spent with the development team has been full of fantastic moments and learning, as well as making new friendships from all over the world. One of the highlights of last year was racing with the professional riders, working for them, learning and gaining experience firsthand in this way was fantastic. Next year, I want to commit myself to the maximum, but also take the necessary time to adapt to the highest level of racing, while being able to help my teammates in every possible way».
