The puzzle of the Coppa Agostoni - Giro delle Brianze 2025 is taking shape, which will host some of the world's cycling jewels on October 5th. In Lissone, 22 teams will arrive: 8 from the WorldTour circuit, 6 from the Professional circuit, and 6 from the Continental circuit, along with two development teams from WorldTour squads.
Although no longer having last year's champion Marc Hirschi in their roster, UAE Team Emirates-XRG will present themselves as the current title holders and will want to assert their dominance on the Brianza roads at all costs. This year they are at 85 victories, an all-time record, and in Lissone they have already celebrated 3 times, having won with Davide Formolo in 2023 and Aleksandr Riabushenko in 2019.
Among the WorldTour teams, the return of Soudal-QuickStep, absent since 2008, stands out, and there will also be Movistar, Groupama-FDJ, Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale, Cofidis, Alpecin-Deceuninck, winner in 2022 with Sjoerd Bax, and XDS Astana, which won in 2021 with Alexey Lutsenko. These will be joined by two satellite teams like Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe Rookies and Lidl-Trek Future Racing, which will find the ideal context to showcase their many young talents.
Italian teams will not be missing, with Polti-VisitMalta, VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizan and Solution Tech-Vini Fantini among the Professional teams. In this regard, an absolute newcomer stands out, the Norwegian Uno-X Mobility, winner of 22 races this year, including a stage at Tirreno-Adriatico and one at the Tour de France. Among the Professional teams are also the Swiss Q36.5 and the Spanish Burgos - Burpellett BH.
The Coppa Agostoni - Giro delle Brianze will open the Trittico della Regione Lombardia - which will continue with Coppa Bernocchi and Tre Valli Varesine - and is part of the Coppa Italia delle Regioni project by the Cycling League, created to enhance territories, races, and teams.
