SABATINI, ALL IN VALDERA – The Gran Premio Città di Peccioli – Coppa Sabatini 2025, covering 197.600 kilometers, is scheduled for Thursday, September 11th on the roads of Valdera. The Pecciolese Cycling Union continues to organize it with the patronage of the Peccioli Municipal Administration and the Tuscany Region. The competition, now in its 73rd edition, is classified as ProSeries by the International Cycling Union. Teams will be presented starting around 10:00 AM at the Municipal Stadium in Peccioli.
The protagonists and their entourage will move from the Stadium at 11:20 to reach Piazza del Carmine, the heart of Peccioli (Pisa), at a tourist pace. At 11:30, the effective start will be given, and initially, a 37-kilometer section will be covered, passing through the elevation changes of Legoli, Montefoscoli, Terricciola, and the Muro di Greta (Greta's road) in Peccioli, with a passage through Piazza del Carmine.
The sector will then begin with a 24.800-kilometer circuit to be repeated 5 times, including climbs at Montefoscoli, Terricciola, and the usual Muro di Greta. After completing the 5th lap, two final circuit laps (12.200 km) remain, with the only true difficulty being the Peccioli hill, passing the finish line on Via Mazzini. The Swiss rider Marc Hirschi triumphed in the Coppa Sabatini in 2023 and 2024.
This year, the Tour of Tuscany and the Peccioli race compose the Alfredo Martini Challenge. For the "Toscana" and "Sabatini" races, the Pecciolese organization relies on the support of the Juventus Lari society.
