It is truly a significant change that Soudal Quick-Step is making for the 2026 season: the latest two official signings are Steff Cras and Fabio Van Den Bossche.
A professional since 2018, 29-year-old Steff Cras has competed in eight Grand Tours, the most recent being this summer's Tour de France. He has showcased his climbing abilities on numerous occasions: from the Vuelta a Asturias this season, where he secured his first professional victory after a great solo effort, to the Route d'Occitanie, where he finished third overall, to the Vuelta a Andalucia, Arctic Race of Norway, and Tour of Slovenia, all of which he completed in the top ten.
Now, Cras is ready to return to the World Tour with Soudal Quick-Step, and he stated: "I am really happy to wear this team's jersey for the next two seasons. My ambition is to help the team achieve important victories and maybe win a couple of races if the opportunity arises. I like La Vuelta - in fact, I'm a big fan of this Grand Tour and races in Spain - but in general, I also enjoy stage races and the Ardennes Classics, which I hope to race next year".
At just 24 years old and a professional since 2020, Fabio Van Den Bossche can't wait to race for the Wolfpack next season. In his six years as a professional, Fabio has raced in two Grand Tours and three Monuments, helping his leaders achieve their goals and making a name for himself on the track. His track palmares includes bronze in the Omnium at the 2024 Olympics and a total of four World Championship medals.
"I am very excited because I have always admired Soudal Quick-Step, ever since Tom Boonen and Iljo Keisse - who were my childhood idols - raced for the team. I also have good memories of racing against Soudal Quick-Step, so being part of it now is something special. I hope to help the team in the Classics and sprints, and I am determined to do my part to obtain as many victories as possible. At the same time, I want to continue improving both on the road and on the track, where I will continue to chase a World Championship gold medal and aim to return to the Olympics".
Speaking about the arrival of the pair, Soudal Quick-Step CEO Jürgen Foré stated: "The numerous results that Steff has achieved in stage races and on some of cycling's toughest climbs speak volumes about his ability on difficult terrain and have helped him become a skilled stage race rider. We believe we can offer him the perfect environment to progress further, and I know we will see great performances from him next season. As for Fabio, he is a young and very versatile rider who will strengthen our team in multiple areas. As he has already said, he is eager to work hard and improve, and we are confident he will do so as part of our team. We will also support him in pursuing his track ambitions, and we can't wait for what we hope will be a highly successful partnership".
