The Fernando Perna Cycling Union, organizer of the 77th Matteotti Trophy, announces a change at the top with Stefano Giuliani assuming the presidency. The decision was made following the resignation of Daniele Sebastiani, who is leaving the position for personal reasons.
Giuliani's new appointment marks the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream with deep roots in his personal history. "This is a dream I've been pursuing since I was a child," the new president declared. "I've experienced the Matteotti Trophy in every aspect - I've raced it as an athlete, won it as a sports director, and managed it as a general manager. Assuming the presidency is finally the ultimate expression of this passion and connection."
Giuliani wanted to thank his predecessor and the entire team that made the event's success possible: "I thank Daniele Sebastiani for the work he has done and wish him the best for his future. I also want to express my deep gratitude to the entire board of directors, whose commitment is fundamental to our organization. Together, we will continue to grow the Matteotti Trophy, honoring its history and projecting it towards an even more brilliant future."
With his extensive experience and deep connection to the race, Stefano Giuliani is ready to lead the Fernando Perna Cycling Union and the Matteotti Trophy towards new challenges and successes, continuing to write the history of one of the most beloved and prestigious cycling events in Italy, which will be held on Sunday, September 14th in Pescara.
