Dylan van Baarle will strengthen Soudal Quick-Step next season: the 33-year-old Dutchman has signed a contract until the end of 2027. A professional since 2013, Van Baarle has built an extraordinary palmares featuring stunning victories at Paris-Roubaix, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, and Dwars door Vlaanderen, while also demonstrating his quality multiple times in stage races and Grand Tours, having completed 16 of them, both achieving personal excellent results and helping his team reach its objectives.
Former national champion in both road and time trial disciplines and silver medalist at the 2021 World Championships, Dylan has an impressive curriculum in the Classics on pavé. Beyond the aforementioned victories, over the last decade he has ranked eleven times among the top ten in the Spring Classics, results that make him one of the most consistent riders in the current peloton in this type of race.
"I am incredibly excited to become part of Soudal Quick-Step, a team I used to watch on TV when I was young, especially admiring Tom Boonen. It's a dream come true to become a member of the Wolfpack from next year. From the outside, it looks like a big family, and I'm happy to be part of it. My goal is to return to my best level for the Classics and, hopefully, we'll fight for victories there. I also want to help the general classification guys in the Grand Tours, and why not, aim for a stage win, maybe even in one-week races if the opportunity arises," Dylan said after signing the contract.
"We are happy that Dylan will become a member of the Wolfpack in 2026 and 2027. He is a very strong rider, as confirmed not only by his Classics or time trial victories but also by his exceptionally solid performances in the Grand Tours. He will bring a lot of experience to the team, which we are convinced will make the difference in key moments of a race and help us become stronger," added Jürgen Foré, CEO of Soudal Quick-Step.
