A journey for two, welcoming many friends along the way to share a stretch, a word, a pedal stroke. A journey by bike to reach the location of a special event: the Fusine Lakes.
Lorenzo "Jovanotti" Cherubini and Fred Morini: a music artist (though this definition is reductive) and an osteopath (equally reductive). Together they are pedaling towards the "Jovanotti - Bike Concert - No Borders Music Festival", a concert for cyclists only, a long-sold-out event, organized by Jovanotti himself.
The singer left early Sunday morning from his Cortona with the goal of reaching Friuli Venezia Giulia through various stages, covering a total of 800 kilometers. With him is the osteopath and friend Federico "Fred" Morini, who also followed him during the recent Pala Jova 2025 tour.
"It's a very pleasant effort," Fred Morini told Davide Gambali of the Corriere dell'Umbria. "Everything started in the last days of Pala Jova. He wanted to reach Friuli and the concert venue by bicycle, starting from his Cortona: he asked me several times to accompany him, by bike. In the end, I said to myself 'let's try!' and so I got back on the bike to train, every early morning for the past couple of months. I will be the only one accompanying him these days: it's also a way to compare notes, study his body and do physical check-ups, along with various treatments. A pleasure that alternates with effort: in the coming days, Daniele Bennati and then Paolo Bettini will join the group. Lorenzo is an extremely available person, everyone recognizes this and he has a smile for everyone".
In the first stage, Francesco Innocenti also pedaled with them, one of the owners of the Corona&Catena shop in Sansepolcro. "I feel like a lucky guy, paraphrasing one of his songs, for having been able to follow Jovanotti in the first stage because we provided Fred with a Pinarello gravel bike, being the latest brand to enter the store, as well as a local expert. We were on bikes for 7-8 hours, in places immersed in nature; it was an opportunity to meet a great rock star who, in fact, is the simplest and nicest person you could have by your side. We talked about everything, also experiencing that romantic cycling of the times on the roads where Marco Pantani used to train. I thank Fred for the opportunity and Jova for his contagious company".
