The last week of the 2025 Tour de France will restart with Pogacar in the yellow jersey and Vingegaard trailing by 4 minutes and 13 seconds. In the last 15 editions, only twice after 15 stages was a wider margin registered: in 2014 when the Italian Nibali led Spanish Valverde by 4'37" and in 2021 when Pogacar had a 5'18" advantage over Colombian Uran.
With the victories scored in the second week by Abrahamsen, Arensman and Wellens, 11 riders have conquered stage wins in the 15 stages disputed so far, representing 7 nations. Individual record for Pogacar with 4 victories, while at the national level Belgium leads with 5 wins. In total, 14 countries have achieved top-three stage placements.
For Italy, one partial victory (by Jonathan Milan), 4 daily podiums (including two second and one third place) and 10 top tens. In the second week, the only notable result for our colors was Davide Ballerini's 10th place in Toulouse. The best Italian in the standings after 15 stages is Simone Velasco, 49th. We have to go back to 2007 to find an Italian in a worse position (in that edition Savoldelli was 50th).
