It's already time to think about the future: DECATHLON, CMA CGM and France Cyclisme are pleased to announce their new co-naming partnership for the professional cycling team currently known as DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE. Starting January 1st, 2026, the team will race as DECATHLON CMA CGM.

A powerful alliance rooted in shared values

This strategic alliance develops following the recent announcement of the professional cycling team's acquisition by DECATHLON at the end of the 2025 season, marking the beginning of an ambitious new chapter. CMA CGM, a global actor in maritime, land, air, and logistics solutions, joins as a co-naming partner, alongside DECATHLON, for an initial five-year agreement, renewable thereafter.

This alliance brings together two major French family-owned companies, each deeply rooted in their territory, the Hauts-de-France for DECATHLON, Provence for CMA CGM, united by a shared culture of commitment, collective action, and belief in sport's power to inspire, elevate, and bring people together.

For nearly 50 years, DECATHLON has been committed to making sport accessible to everyone, progressively deepening its involvement at the highest levels of competition. For many years, the CMA CGM Group has supported sport as a vector of action both locally and globally, wherever the Group operates.

Main partner of Olympique de Marseille, CMA CGM is also a long-standing supporter of the International Tour of Guadeloupe. CMA CGM has been actively engaged in promoting grassroots and inclusive cycling.

In 2024, the Group was also Official Partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, proving its deep commitment to sports values. With cycling, CMA CGM continues to support a popular, challenging, and universal sport, accessible to everyone, everywhere.

STATEMENTS

Javier López, Chief Executive Officer of DECATHLON: "This partnership with CMA CGM embodies our shared human values and our dedication to people. Together, we commit to bringing the team to the highest level of cycling, not only achieving sporting excellence but also cultivating tomorrow's champions. Guided by the spirit of personal improvement, teamwork, and a deep conviction in sport as a positive force, we continue to develop not just a team, but a winning project. A project that reflects our vision of collective progress and significantly contributes to cycling's future. We can't wait to write this new chapter with CMA CGM, with passion, humility, and ambition."

Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CMA CGM: "I am proud to announce that our Group is becoming a sponsor of the 'DECATHLON - CMA CGM' cycling team. This partnership reflects what we share with Decathlon: strong family roots, a long-term vision, and values like boldness, perseverance, and humility. Today, we join a great French sporting history, with the ambition of bringing a high-level team to the top."

Dominique Serieys, General Manager of France Cyclisme: "CMA CGM's commitment alongside DECATHLON marks a decisive step in our 2030 strategic plan, aiming for the highest level on the global scene. This ambition is fully embodied by both DECATHLON and CMA CGM. They share a long-term vision, a strong culture of innovation, and fundamental values that help promote France internationally. Yesterday partners of Paris 2024, today this alliance – a Games legacy – sends a strong signal: we are determined to write a historic new chapter for French and global sport. Our partners' investment – whether financial, technical, or human – strengthens our determination and elevates our standards, inspiring all CMA CGM employees worldwide, just as we have done with DECATHLON teammates."

A long-term vision to reach the top of world cycling.

Together, DECATHLON and CMA CGM are determined to deepen their involvement in the team. The ambition is clear: to compete with the best teams in the UCI World Tour, while building a long-term project guided by sporting integrity and athlete development.

This ambition goes beyond short-term results. It reflects a collective commitment to building an international project that cultivates talents, invests in the next generation, and becomes stronger each season. The Development Team (12 riders from 7 nationalities) and the Junior Team (14 riders from 7 nationalities) are central to this strategy. It reflects the team's desire to grow from within, prepare tomorrow's champions, and shape cycling's future with determination and passion.

United by the same vision, both partners prepare to vibrate in unison at every race and continuously push the limits that will lead to the great victories of tomorrow.
