The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè is preparing to tackle the Valle d'Aosta Tour with a young and ambitious lineup. The race, consisting of five stages, will start on July 16th from Aosta and conclude on July 20th, passing through Valle d'Aosta and Swiss locations including Passy (France), Pré-Saint-Didier, Valsavarenche, and Valtournenche/Breuil-Cervinia.
Five young athletes will be at the start for the Italian team, with 4 of them born in 2006: Andrea Montagner, Colombian Edward Cruz, Mattia Stenico, Santiago Ferraro, and Matteo Scalco, the most experienced of the group, who finished ninth in the recent Giro Next Gen general classification.
These are the words of Mirko Rossato, who will lead the young riders from the team car: "This year's course is probably one of the most challenging in recent editions, truly of the highest level. Some of the best climbers are at the start. Regarding our objectives, we will aim for the general classification with Scalco, who has prepared carefully for this event after the Giro Next Gen. The other four riders, all in their first year and born in 2006, I want to see attacking: I expect an aggressive attitude in every stage. It will also be a way to understand, looking to the future, what margins and potential these guys have".
The race will be broadcast live on Bike Channel, on TV and streaming.
