The big cycling stage might soon have a place for Filippo Conca. Fresh winner of the elite Italian championship with Carlo Beretta's Swatt Club, Conca is close to signing with a World Tour team.
Two teams are in pole position to secure the tricolor rider, one of which is the Australian Team Jayco AlUla led by Brent Copeland. For Conca, born in 1998 and from Lecco, this would be a true rebirth. After racing professionally for two seasons with Lotto Soudal, where he made his World Tour debut in 2021, and then two more with Q36.5 Pro Cycling, the Lombard rider was left without a contract at the end of 2024, far from the spotlight.
In 2025, he didn't give up, accepted the challenge proposed by Swatt Club, competed in some gravel races and meticulously prepared for the national championship in Gorizia, won and reignited the spotlight on himself.
A possible return to the top circuit would represent much more than a simple contractual opportunity: for "Pippo" it would be a second chance, earned on the road through work, sacrifice, and determination. One thing is certain: Filippo Conca is back. And this time, he wants to stay.
