
Five and a half hours of spectacle and emotions on the city circuit of Sesto Fiorentino with start and finish in Piazza Vittorio Veneto to remember Alfredo Martini, an unforgettable character of world cycling who lived just a stone's throw from the finish line.
Present were his two daughters Silvia and Milvia, grandson Matteo, among the main organizers with Dimitri Bessi from Pegaso Bike Service, for this event which received support and collaboration from everyone: the Municipality of Sesto, Croce Viola, Municipal Police, sponsors, various Associations, and professionals. From the youngest to juniors, six races with as many podiums and special medals awarded to the top three in each race, with the coveted jersey dedicated to Alfredo Martini for the winners. For the awards ceremony, national Vice President of Federciclismo Saverio Metti, regional directors Luca Menichetti and Gaia Passerini (president and vice), Sports Councilor Damiano Sforzi, and other guests.
The event opened with the youngest category (7-12 years) and victories by Filippo Marraccini, Mattia Parentini, Davide Capitoni, Federico Bellucci, Damiano Borri, Niccolò Di Lucia in the male category and Isabel Spinelli, Christina Emilia Gaggioli, Sofia Diletta Politi, and Noemi Cianti among females. In the other races (points race), victories in the beginners category went to Antonio William Boretti (Team Valdinievole) over Belloni and Dati, and Bianca Capitoni (G.S. Capannori); in the cadets category, Gioele Gabbrielleschi (Bessi Donoratico) ahead of Kolarski and Borgheresi, and Elena Geppi (Vangi Ladies); in the juniors (the last race of the event), Mattia Ballerini (Team Vangi Il Pirata), Tuscan 2025 road champion from Florence, prevailed after 30 scheduled laps, preceding Bonciani and Tomassini.
