Less than two weeks remain until the return of the Cycling Stars Criterium and anticipation is growing for the June 2nd event, when the streets of Pieve di Soligo will come alive with some of the greatest protagonists of world cycling.
Leading the start list will be Lorena Wiebes, current European Champion and star rider of Team SD Worx-Protime. The Dutch rider, winner of the 2025 Milan-San Remo and podium finisher at Paris-Roubaix, has enthusiastically accepted the organizers' invitation and is ready to set the evening on fire. By her side will be her trusted teammate Barbara Guarischi, experienced and always combative.
Challenging Wiebes for the title will be a well-known name to the general public: Elisa Longo Borghini, Italian Champion and representative of Team UAE ADQ. The Piedmontese rider, who in her extraordinary career has already conquered the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and the Giro d'Italia, returns to Pieve di Soligo to defend her title from last year.
Also present will be Soraya Paladin, hometown favorite from the CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto team. After her 2023 victory and second place in 2024, the Treviso native is determined to return to the podium, but will have to contend with athletes of the caliber of Martina Alzini (Cofidis Women Team), European Team Pursuit Champion and multiple medal winner on the track.
The evening will also be enhanced by many young promises of Italian cycling, ready to showcase their talents. Among these are the sisters Letizia and Giada Borghesi: Letizia, with Team EF Education-Oatly, shone in the Northern Campaigns with second place at Paris-Roubaix and sixth at the Tour of Flanders; Giada is the current Italian Gravel Champion and rides for Human Powered Health.
Completing the lineup of protagonists is Sara Casasola (Fenix-Deceuninck), a multidisciplinary athlete with numerous national cyclocross titles, as well as European and World podium finishes. Also racing is Sara Fiorin (Ceratizit Pro Cycling Team), successful since her youth in road and track cycling, and the Trentino rider Andrea Casagranda (BePink - Imatra - Bongioanni), winner of the Italian Team Time Trial Championship in 2024.
The appointment with the stars of women's cycling is set for Monday, June 2nd at 8:00 PM in Pieve di Soligo, for an unmissable evening of sport and spectacle.
