
Saturday, May 17th on the eve of the Giro d'Italia stage finish in Piazza del Campo in Siena, the race will start from the city of Palio and finish in Montalcino for the fifth edition of Heroic Juniors, an international race valid for the Andrea Meneghelli Cup. Among the 31 registered teams, foreign formations from the Czech Republic, San Marino, Germany, Slovenia, and Romania stand out. The race will develop on a route from Siena to Montalcino for a total of 107 kilometers and will also see many of the best Italian teams at the start. So far, no Italian rider has managed to raise their arms to the sky in Piazza del Popolo in Montalcino.
"We are happy to host the fifth edition of Heroic Juniors - Andrea Meneghelli Cup on our white roads," declares Nicoletta Fabio, Mayor of Siena - "A race dedicated to the youngest that confirms, once again, the great synergy between the Municipality of Siena and L'Eroica in enhancing the world of two wheels and which cannot disregard involving new generations through those founding values and principles that have made this race famous: such as sharing, rediscovering effort, love for the territory, protection of white roads, and respect for the environment".

THE ROUTE: 107 kilometers without long climbs but with numerous sometimes steep sections. There are four white road sections, totaling about 24 kilometers, in locations La Piana, Le Crete, Sesta, and Argiano. White roads in perfect condition with a well-maintained and compacted surface, with arrival expected in Piazza del Popolo in Montalcino around 4:40 PM.
