The MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack team will officially move up to the Professional category in 2026, leaving their current Continental team status.
Just these days, during the Tour of Hungary, the team's top management and patron Gábor Deák reached an agreement that officially confirms the move. The quality of the Under 23 and Elite roster, the consistent growth of a new generation of Hungarian riders, and the shared desire to further evolve the project have led to the decision to move up to the ProTeam category.
The Italian-Hungarian project, born with solid technical foundations and an international vision, was initially intended to take this big step in 2025. However, the team's management preferred to take the necessary time to consolidate the structure, postponing the category leap by a year. Now, all conditions seem mature to face this new challenge with momentum.
Antonio Bevilacqua, team manager of the formation, commented on the news: "I want to thank all the sponsors who believed in us and have confirmed their commitment for the future. These days in Hungary, we could see firsthand how passionately our main sponsor MBH Bank supports us: there's a strong desire to do, to build something important. We have a significant history, built over the years through a wonderful journey. In particular, my thanks go to Beppe Colleoni – without him we wouldn't have come this far – to the Ballan and D'Aprile families, to General Operation Manager Rossella Dileo, to Gianluca Valoti, to my wife Federica, and to all the people who have collaborated with us over the years."
"We have a group of guys who have been with us for a long time and already represent a solid framework for the future. We have been working for months to be prepared, both as staff and with new additions: we know an ambitious challenge awaits us, but we are calm and determined to commit ourselves to being protagonists in this new world. Moreover, we can count on an interesting group of Hungarian athletes who have already distinguished themselves. This confirms the goodness of the project we have started, and is perfectly in line with our group's mission."
UPCOMING COMMITMENTS: Meanwhile, the activity continues with races. While the Tour of Hungary is ongoing, where we are protagonists with several breakaway actions, next weekend will see more racing.
