
It's immediately a celebration for Ursus at the Giro d'Italia. After just four stages of their first Corsa Rosa alongside Team Picnic-PostNL, the new PROXIMA Team Edition wheels have already raced to the front of the pack. The credit goes to Casper Van Uden, who dominated the sprint against his Dutch compatriots Olav Kooij and Maikal Zijlaard at the end of the fourth stage of the Giro d'Italia, Alberobello - Lecce, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
For the 23-year-old Dutch rider from Team Picnic PostNL, this is a significant victory that confirms his credentials as an emerging sprinter on the world stage: for him, as for Ursus PROXIMA Team Edition, this is the first win in the Giro d'Italia and in a major stage race. It is the third seasonal victory for the partnership between Ursus and Picnic-PostNL, and certainly the most prestigious and meaningful for the Toro brand, achieved in the symbolic race of Italian cycling.
