LIVIGNO ALONGSIDE RCS SPORT ON THE ROADS OF GREAT CYCLING

NEWS | 21/03/2025 | 08:16

In the sports landscape, there are events capable of connecting all enthusiasts across the board, because they are rich with significant history, which is cemented in myth and continues to rewrite itself, year after year, champion after champion. Always new feats that "speak for themselves", able to tickle the public imagination, becoming great generational bridges that connect the past and future of the discipline.

This is the case of the Great Cycling Classics, for example, Monument races that have the power to change the careers of their protagonists and where every success is "forever".

Appointments like Il Lombardia and Milano-Sanremo, for over a century international symbols of two wheels and sport in general. But also Strade Bianche, Strade Bianche Women Elite, Sanremo Women, Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Torino, Giro d'Abruzzo and Gran Piemonte: a rich program of iconic races, true historical-sporting artifacts and the most successful expression of how sport can continuously renew itself while maintaining its founding values. A mission in which Livigno strongly identifies, both in terms of valuing history and in building a collective identity looking towards tomorrow, precisely through sport. A profound conviction that reflects the nature of the location and translates into an important partnership with RCS Sport, aimed at promoting cycling and sport across the entire cycling season.

The relationship between cycling and Livigno is long-standing, and has made the Little Tibet one of the most important European and global cycling capitals. For years, dozens of athletes, teams, and Federations have chosen the location to prepare for major summer Tours, international events, and Olympic expeditions, enjoying the benefits of altitude training, quality facilities, and local hospitality. A deep harmony capable of producing unforgettable moments destined to remain in time, like the queen stage of the last Giro d'Italia, which concluded at the spectacular Mottolino finish line, the very same area where, in less than a year, some Olympic titles will be awarded, thus encompassing Livigno's two natures in the same horizon.

The choice to be a partner of RCS Sport's great classics thus fits into a broader strategy aimed at supporting international cycling excellence in 360 degrees, as an identity tool for collective well-being and sports-social growth.
