Year 1945, those were the terrible moments at the end of World War II, right after the Hiroshima tragedy. But amid many losses, misfortunes, and fears, some young people from Rescaldina raised their heads, looked ahead, waved the flag of confidence, of being together, of moving forward, and immediately thought about the bicycle as a "symbol of progress, freedom, union". And they founded the Sc Rescaldinese 1945 which will celebrate its 80th anniversary on Saturday, March 15th.

And they will do it in a sporting, aggregating way with shared goals of pedaling together towards new milestones. In the program for Saturday, March 15th, at the Municipal Auditorium in Via Matteotti 3 in Rescaldina, the day will begin with a Press Conference by the "Sports Club" Directors, followed by the presentation of the competitive teams in the Beginners and Youth categories.
Finally, the inauguration of the Photographic Exhibition that will illustrate these 80 years on pedals with countless clicks. With all the former Rescaldinese riders who were contacted, including former professionals Ottavio Crepaldi and Ugo Colombo (represented by his son because Ugo unfortunately passed away on 10.10.2019).
Giuseppe Saronni will be with us, representing the entire competitive cycling world, and, for the Institutional part, the Vice President of CR-FCI Lombardy, Cinzia Ghisellini, and the President of CP-FCI Milan, Luca Arrara, as well as, naturally, the Institutional representatives of the Municipality of Rescaldina.

We invite cycling enthusiasts, sports fans, and all Citizens of Rescaldina and beyond to share this anniversary of a Cycling Society that, in its own small way, has been part of the history, not just cycling history, of our Municipality.
