SHIMANO and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) are proud to announce the continuation of their long-standing partnership. The renewal comes as the organizations celebrate over 25 years of collaboration, which began in 1999; both UCI and Shimano are happy to work closely together for another four-year period (from 2025 to 2028).

As in the past four years, Shimano will continue to maintain its status as UCI World Cycling Partner, in addition to being the official neutral service partner of the UCI at the UCI World Championships for various disciplines.

The Shimano neutral service mechanics and drivers – easily recognizable by their iconic blue cars – provide an important service to cyclists in major international events.

The UCI World Cycling Partner status reflects Shimano's shared values with the UCI, its passion for cycling, and its strong involvement in most UCI World Championships, including road, para-cycling road, track, para-cycling track, mountain bike, mountain bike marathon, BMX Racing, urban cycling (BMX Freestyle and trial), cyclocross, gravel, and esports cycling.

Shimano will also be the Main Partner of the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships, which will bring together approximately 20 different disciplines in Haute-Savoie (France).

Shimano is also the official neutral service partner of the UCI for the UCI World Championships in road cycling, para-cycling road, mountain bike (Olympic cross-country, short track cross-country, and downhill), mountain bike marathon, BMX Racing, urban cycling, cyclocross, and gravel, as well as for the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships.

In this capacity, Shimano provides its Neutral Service and Technical Service to cyclists experiencing mechanical difficulties during UCI World Championships, particularly to National Cycling Federations that may not have all the resources to support their cyclists in such events.
