It's one of those news stories that leave you breathless. And that are difficult to tell. Rossella is no longer here. Rossella Bardi was the wife of Emanuele Del Barba, a man who over the years has massaged the muscles of champions, domestiques, young and experienced riders, and who now will have to dedicate himself to the most difficult task, that of massaging the hearts of his boys and his own, struck by an immense, enormous pain.
Rossella passed away in a month, she was only 43 years old. And Emanuele, who in the last two seasons had worked for Team Jayco AlUla and now had signed a collaboration contract with Movistar, will have to change his life.
He will dedicate himself to the physiotherapist work near home and will stay close to his boys, one 25 years old and one 7 years old, who since yesterday no longer have their mom.
Rossella's funeral will be celebrated in Erbusco, in Franciacorta, on Friday 24 at 10:30: it will be the last farewell to a woman who for love had approached cycling, had become passionate and who can now pedal freely up there, always keeping her gaze fixed on Emanuele and their boys.
