MBH BANK - COLPACK BALLAN CSB. FOUR HUNGARIAN TALENTS FOR 2025
CONTINENTAL | 29/12/2024 | 08:10 Under the Christmas tree, the MBH Colpack Ballan CSB Team finds 4 Hungarian talents who will be part of the 2025 squad. This brings the number of Hungarian riders in team manager Antonio Bevilacqua's roster to 5, having confirmed climber Mark Valent, winner of a race in Tuscany in 2024. The new arrivals are the best talents produced by the Hungarian Junior development program (already wearing MBH Bank Colpack Ballan CSB jerseys and Cinelli bikes) who during this year have managed to achieve several successes, some of international level, starting from the first race of the season, the 63rd Radsaison-Eröffnungsrennen Leonding, and the International Friuli Stage Race. "With these new additions, we are enhancing our project that also looks at the growth of the Hungarian cycling movement" – explains Team Manager Antonio Bevilacqua – "which was one of the missions since the project started last year. These are valuable riders, as their results demonstrate. We will try to put them in the ideal conditions to grow. We would like to be an important passage in their cycling and human experience". A brief overview of their profiles explained by Davide Martinelli, who, along with Gilberto Simoni, closely followed the Junior project in 2024: "These are guys who have participated in road, MTB, and cyclocross races, very open-minded, with excellent growth margins. I wouldn't be surprised if we see them winning in high-level races already in 2025". Balogh Zsombor: He is a rider who can do well in mixed races, holds his ground on 2-3 kilometer climbs and has won both in Hungary and Austria, in Leonding. A high school student, he lives in Keleviz. Makrai Balint: He is a true team player, able to work thoroughly in service of his teammates. He has grown a lot during the season and here he can still learn a lot. Takács Zsombor: He is a very fast and explosive athlete, coming from MTB. He placed 4th in the last World Cup stage, then dedicated himself to road racing in Italy, obtaining various placings. He will have a future in line races too. He could be a surprise. He needs to work to refine his qualities, but he has a good engine and remarkable endurance both on the flat and uphill, characteristics that allowed him to win the Friuli Tour. Vas Barnabas Abel: He comes from a family of cyclists. He has great potential on mixed routes and also practices cyclocross.
