Another trio of promising young talents for the Continental Team Biesse Carrera Premac ahead of the 2025 season. After the "internal promotion" of Juniors expected to move up a category (Andrea Godizzi, Davide Quadriglia and Alessandro Milesi), the team led by Marco Milesi and Dario Nicoletti welcomes three more 2006 athletes, who are therefore preparing to experience their first year on the pedals in the Under 23 category. They will wear the Brescia jersey Michele Bicelli, Andrea Donati and Cristian Sanfilippo.
MICHELE BICELLI - From Brescia, he comes from another historic local team, Aspiratori Otelli Alchem CWC, where he matured by standing out during his two years as a Junior. In 2024, he won at Brinzio (Trofeo Pistolesi) and concluded the Junior Giro del Friuli with a bang, winning the last stage, finishing second in the general classification and dominating the points classification. "The team has great potential, it's a team that can achieve a lot and I'm very motivated for the upcoming season. I'll try to give my best for the team and obtain some personal results if possible; certainly, I want to work to the maximum to prove what I'm worth".
ANDREA DONATI - Another Brescia rider, he comes from Ciclistica Trevigliese and is the younger brother of Davide, who was part of the Team Biesse Carrera last year. In 2024, he wore the national team time trial jersey, won the Italian time trial silver medal and the regional specialty title, as well as winning the road races Colli Marignanesi and Memorial Zipponi. "For this year, I'm confident and convinced that I can already achieve good results, both individually and as a team. I believe the overall level of the guys in the team is good, and it will be up to us to form a group and find ways to help each other as much as possible during races. The Team Biesse Carrera seemed already very valid in previous years, and my brother was fully satisfied, so we thought it could be the best choice to learn and grow".
CRISTIAN SANFILIPPO - From Turin, he comes from two years as a Junior with the Pool Cantù-Gb Junior Team and closed 2024 with a victory at the Memorial Annibale Franchini, beating Team Biesse Carrera's Damiano Lavelli. "I'm proud to become part of an important and winning project like Team Biesse Carrera Premac, and I must thank the team directors Marco Milesi and Dario Nicoletti and the entire staff for the opportunity they've offered me. I can't wait for the season to start because I know I'm facing this big step in an environment very suitable for doing so. For this year, I'm not setting main objectives, but even though I'm in my first year, I know we must be ready and competitive from the start to help teammates, the team, and also seize personal satisfactions when possible".
THE TEAM DIRECTOR'S OPINION - Presenting the three new arrivals is Dario Nicoletti. "Bicelli is an excellent climber we've been following for 2 years since he debuted in the Junior category. He's a rider of great consistency, he has shown he can go strong throughout the entire season. Andrea Donati is a complete rider, he loves time trial challenges and wants to measure and improve in this specialty. In our team, he follows in the footsteps of his brother Davide. Finally, Sanfilippo comes off an excellent end of season; when we decided to include an additional first-year Under 23 rider, we went for his profile because he had distinguished himself in the last races of the year".
