The Jayco AlUla Team is pleased to welcome the new Italian road race champion Filippo Conca, who joins the team's roster with immediate effect, having signed a new contract until 2027.
The 26-year-old, currently racing for Swatt Club, will wear the Jayco AlUla Team jersey by the end of this week, as he is ready to make his debut at the Circuit Franco-Belge on August 15th. After spending most of the 2025 season competing in Gravel competitions, the talented climber surprisingly won the national championships. The victory further confirmed his value as a rider, having been on the team's radar for some time. Ready to take another step forward on the road, Conca will have the opportunity to settle into GreenEDGE Cycling this season, giving the 26-year-old an advantage ahead of an important full road season in 2026.
"I am really happy to join the Jayco AlUla Team. I chose this squad because I am confident I will find the ideal environment to work hard. Before making my decision, I consulted my colleagues and staff, and they all told me that at Jayco AlUla I would find a family ready to support me personally and professionally. Another important thing for me is that I will continue to use the same equipment I used this year: Giant and Cadex. I had an excellent experience with both, so I am happy to continue with the same bike and wheels. My dream is to race the Giro d'Italia, and to do so wearing the tricolor jersey. I think it's a unique opportunity. I want to thank the Jayco AlUla Team for the trust they have placed in me; I am sure it will be repaid," said Conca.
These are the words of Brent Copeland, General Manager of the Jayco AlUla team: "Filippo clearly has a lot of talent, which has been highlighted not only by his victory in the Italian championships but also by looking at his past results. Unfortunately, he has had to face several issues that have caused him several setbacks and prevented him from showing his true potential. Now we are pleased to give him the full support he deserves to achieve his goals. I would like to personally thank Carlo Beretta and his Swatt Club team for making Filippo's transfer easy and for giving both him and ourselves full support. It has been a pleasure to work with Filippo and his team, and we can't wait to work with him."
