
Al trofeo Da Moreno – piccolo trofeo Binda sono iscritte 131 atlete in rappresentanza di 21 teams. La gara si svolgerà domenica 20 marzo con partenza alle ore 9.15 da Gavirate ed arrivo alle ore 11.00 circa a Cittiglio dopo 66 chilometri. Poi la premiazione della vincitrice e la cerimonia della leader di Coppa delle Nazioni donne junior: “la nascita della Coppa delle Nazioni donne junior a Cittiglio lo consideriamo un premio al nostro lavoro per le giovani cicliste. Auguri a tutte”.
Starting in Cittiglio, junior women will also have their own Nation’s Cup; “we are delighted with this news from the International Cycling Union (UCI) – declared Mario Minervino, president of Cycling Sport Promotion which organises the double event taking place next Sunday; the Alfredo Binda Trophy for elite women and the Da Moreno Trophy for junior women –. The “Da Moreno – mini-Binda Trophy” will be the first junior women’s Nation’s Cup, and with that the world cycling panorama will be complete, with no differences between the male and female cycling calendars. We will have the satisfaction of being the first organisers to prepare the stage for President Brian Cookson to award the caps to the leaders of the “Junior Women’s Nation’s Cup”.
One hundred and thirty-one, representing 21 teams, are registered to participate in the Da Moreno – mini-Binda Trophy. The race will take place on Sunday 20 March, starting from Gavirate at 9.15am and finishing at around 11.00am in Cittiglio, after 66 km on the road. Then the prize-giving for the winners and the ceremony for the leaders of the junior women’s Nation’s Cup: “it is a reward for our work to have the first junior women’s Nation’s Cup for young cyclists here in Cittiglio. Best of luck to everybody”.
