The very dark clouds that have been enveloping TotalEnergies for weeks in an increasingly worrying manner are finally beginning to dissipate. Given by many as close to closure due to persistent difficulties in securing new resources and new partners, the French team has finally reached an agreement with a new sponsor that will allow it to avoid disappearing from the professional world and continue its activities.

The announcement was made by the French newspaper Ouest-France, which revealed that GM Jean-René Bernaudeau and Team Manager Stéphane Heulot reached an agreement yesterday with the title sponsor that will take the place of TotalEnergies by signing a contract valid not only for the upcoming season but also for the two following seasons.

The official announcement will be made by the parties involved in the coming week when the names of the riders who will make up the 2027 roster will also be revealed, which, according to what was revealed by the French newspaper, should have a total of 25 elements.

Among these will certainly not be Geoffrey Bouchard, Fabien Grellier and Lorrenzo Manzin (who have decided to hang up their bikes) and some of the men who best represented the colors of TotalEnergies in recent times: they, considering the doubts and uncertainties about the team's survival, opted to seek opportunities elsewhere, and in recent weeks have joined other teams, finding positions in World Tour teams (Nicolas Breuillard and Anthony Turgis at XDS Astana, Alexandre Delettre, Sandy Dujardin and Emilien Jeanniere at Groupama FDJ United, Jordan Jegat at Lidl Trek), or positions in ProTeam squads (Pierre Thierry at Cofidis, Thomas Bonnet, Mathieu Burgaudeau and Matteo Vercher at Burgos Burpellet BH).

In light of these movements, it will be very interesting to see who, patiently waiting for a positive resolution of the situation, will defend next year the jersey of the Vendée representative which, this is already certain, will race from January with bikes from the Chinese brand Pardus, already admired among the professionals in 2025 when it served as technical supplier for Solution Tech-Vini Fantini.
