If the previous week had been the one of farewells to Crescioli, Lonardi, Pietrobon, Serrano, Davide Bais and sponsor Polti, but also the entry of Ukyo Katayama into the company of Ivan Basso and the Contador brothers, this one for the Italian ProTeam has been the week of contract extensions, announced in four installments by nationality.

Three Spaniards: Manuel Peñalver (1998) who thus becomes the team's leading sprinter; Fran Muñoz (2001) who is about to complete his sixth year in the structure between Under 23 and the professional squad; Fernando Tercero (2001) a climber who is a genuine product of the academy, having started in the former Polartec Kometa Juniors.

The Colombian German Gomez (2001) ready to make waves after a season spent almost entirely sidelined due to a positive test for boldenone, which later turned out to be food contamination.

Three Italians: Mattia Bais (1996) a man of a thousand breakaways, one of the squad's leaders; Thomas Pesenti (1999) who in his first season as a professional after a lifetime at Continental level, came close to success on a couple of occasions and will want to hit the big target; Gabriele Raccagni (2003) an extremely generous domestique, who joined Eolo Kometa U23 in 2022 like Muñoz.

Today, finally, the two Maltese: former three-time national champion Aidan Buttigieg (1997) who joined the team already at the end of 2024, and Andrea Mifsud (1999) who arrived this year after a long stint with Nice Metropole, the new national champion (sweeping both the road race and time trial with Buttigieg), the first Maltese to compete in the Giro d'Italia and Il Lombardia, has achieved a double top-10 at the Mediterranean Games and wore his National team jersey at the Worlds.

These 9 riders will thus continue to make up the roster of the current Polti VisitMalta together with another 9 who already had contracts valid for 2027: Dario Igor Belletta, Adrian Benito, twins Gabriele and Tommaso Bessega, Argentine Fabrizio Crozzolo, Frenchman Dario Giuliano, Mirco Maestri, Diego Sevilla and Alessandro Tonelli. A squad of 18 athletes, presumably ready to welcome the new signings that will complete it.
