After three seasons, the professional relationship between Giada Borghesi and Human Powered Health will end at the close of 2026. The 23-year-old from Trentino will join Lotto Intermarché Ladies from January to begin a new chapter and leave behind a difficult season: just 9 days of racing in official competitions, the last of which at the Veneto Women.
"I love Belgium, I've raced there often both on road and in cyclocross, and the idea of being part of a Belgian team with the history of Lotto Intermarché particularly fascinates me. I believe this team is ideal for returning to my best level" said the youngest of the Borghesi sisters.
She then added: "The management has great confidence in me and I hope to repay this trust in the best possible way. I want to rediscover the right sensations and aim as high as possible".
Grace Verbeke, sports director of Lotto Intermarché Ladies, stated: "We believe that Giada has great potential that she has not yet expressed. We want to give her the opportunity to do so with our team. She will be able to play an important role in the Classics, but also in races with a demanding altitude profile. We have great faith in her".
Along with Giada Borghesi, the Belgian team also announced the signing of 31-year-old Dutch rider Maya Kingma. The former triathlete defended the colors of Aromitalia Vaiano in 2026, securing victory in the Trofeo Arti e Mestieri della Tradizione Mugellana and making her mark at the Giro d'Italia Women, where she animated the Longarone stage with an escape. Lotto Intermarché Ladies signed Kingma to a two-year contract.
