Italy will be represented by Enrico Balliana, who will start at 10:30, and the son of a cycling legend Patrik Pezzo Rosola, expected on the starting line at 11:10. For the two Italian riders, a particularly challenging competition awaits, given the quality of the specialists present in the continental start list.

The main favorite for victory is the Spaniard Benjamin Noval, world champion in the discipline and a reference point for the category. Challenging him for the top spot on the podium will be Belgian Vic De Smet, world vice-champion, and Danish Malthe Risbjerg, bronze medalist in Montreal.

Attention also to Denmark's other card, the talented Julius Birkedal, a rider with great time trial qualities and among the names most credited to enter the fight for medals. In the narrow circle of medal contenders are also Norwegian Sindre Lonseth Orholm, Swiss Antoine Salamin, German Owen Kings, Slovenian Vanja Kuntaric, who will be able to count on the support of the home crowd, and Austrian Niklas Wiesmayr.

64 riders representing 33 nations at the start.
