AT FSA BIKE FESTIVAL 2027 THE HERO UCI MARATHON WORLD CUP AND UCI GRAVEL WORLD SERIES MAKE THEIR DEBUT

OFF-ROAD | 02/10/2026 | 08:19

Between the blue waters of Lake Garda and the trails winding through the mountains of Garda Trentino, FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda returns, the event that for over thirty years has inaugurated the international off-road cycling season. With the iconic lakefront location confirmed from Friday, April 30 to Sunday, May 2, 2027, Garda Trentino will once again become the reference point for the mountain bike, gravel, and e-bike world, welcoming athletes, enthusiasts, companies, and media in an event that combines sport, innovation, and territory.

«From April 30 to May 2, all the energy of Bike Festival returns to Riva del Garda, one of the most anticipated appointments of the bike season at the European level. The 2027 edition will have an even more international flavor: we will indeed host the first seasonal stage of the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup and a race of the UCI Gravel World Series, bringing world-class cycling to Garda Trentino from the start of the season - comments Silvio Rigatti, President of Garda Dolomiti Azienda per il Turismo S.p.A. - Two competitions of the highest level that enrich an event whose heart remains the large expo area, a meeting place between brands, enthusiasts, and the bike world. We await everyone in Riva del Garda for three days of sport, innovations, meetings, and passion: it will be an edition not to be missed!».

Over the years, FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda has established itself as much more than a trade fair event. For the 2027 edition, over 60,000 visitors are expected, more than 2,500 competition participants, 150 exhibitors, 300 brands, and coverage involving over 30 international media markets. Numbers that testify to the event's ability to attract the entire bicycle supply chain and an increasingly large and international community.

Welcoming the festival is one of Europe's most appreciated bike destinations. Here the Dolomites of Brenta meet the mild climate of Lake Garda, creating a network of routes unique in variety and beauty: technical trails, gravel roads, panoramic climbs, and nature-immersed itineraries make Riva del Garda an ideal destination for hosting major international events.

In this context, an edition is set to mark a new milestone in the history of the event. For the first time, indeed, FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda 2027 will host both a stage of the HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup and a round of the UCI Gravel World Series, confirming itself as the ideal stage for the opening of the international competitive season and the meeting point between the main disciplines of contemporary off-road cycling.

THE HERO UCI MARATHON WORLD CUP COMES TO RIVA DEL GARDA
On May 1, 2027, the famous Bike Marathon Garda Trentino will officially enter the HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup, the international circuit dedicated to mountain bike marathon races, an endurance discipline that develops over long-distance courses, generally between 60 and 160 kilometers, characterized by significant elevation gains and technically challenging sections. Born in 2025 from the collaboration between the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and HERO Series, the competition brings together the world's best mountain bike marathon specialists, alongside Elite categories also offering races open to amateurs.

For the first time, Riva del Garda will host a stage of the Marathon World Cup, opening the international season with one of the most iconic races in the European landscape. The stage for the challenge will be the spectacular Ronda Extrema of the Bike Marathon, with a 82.77-kilometer route and 3,434 meters of elevation gain, which will take the world's mountain bike elite along the most fascinating trails of Garda Trentino.

Now in its 33rd edition, the Bike Marathon has always represented the sporting heart of the Festival, thanks to three routes that traverse some of the territory's most suggestive landscapes between challenging climbs, technical trails, and unique panoramas of Lake Garda. A competition that over the years has established itself as an international reference point for professionals and amateurs alike.

THE UCI GRAVEL WORLD SERIES DEBUTS
The following day, May 2, 2027, will be the turn of the UCI Gravel World Series, the international circuit that qualifies for the UCI Gravel World Championships and which for the first time will make a stop in Garda Trentino. The inaugural race of the season will start and finish in Arco, developing along a route that crosses the Sarca Valley between gravel roads, climbs, fast sections, and scenery that combines Alpine charm with the Mediterranean atmosphere of Garda. Details on length and elevation gain will be revealed during the winter season, but it can already be said that the course will be designed in an ideal context for a discipline that has managed to win over thousands of enthusiasts thanks to its ability to combine performance, exploration, and direct contact with the territory.

With the arrival of the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup and the UCI Gravel World Series, FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda 2027 is preparing to write a new chapter in its history, confirming itself as the place where the international bike season officially begins. An event that combines sport, innovation, business, and passion, transforming Garda Trentino into the nerve center of world off-road cycling.

EXPO Registration for Exhibitors
And it is with these first two events that FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda launches the challenge for the 2027 edition, where over 25,000 square meters of Expo Area have already been defined to confirm itself as a privileged meeting point between brands and the public: an opportunity for companies to present their innovations, showcase and test their products to an international community of enthusiasts and industry professionals. Completing the exhibition and competitive experience is a rich program of guided tours, meetings with athletes, workshops, community rides, and events designed for both the most experienced enthusiasts and those approaching the world of off-road cycling for the first time.
