First seasonal victory for Bergamo native Alessia Zambelli in the third and final stage of the eleventh edition of the "Giro Mediterraneo in Rosa," a prestigious multi-stage event reserved for the women's open category, organized by Luigi Eucalipto, Salvatore Belardo and Francesco Vitiello. At the finish line located in the heart of the city of Caivano, in the province of Naples, the twenty-year-old rider for Top Girls - Fassa Bortolo, who finished twice in the 'top ten' in as many stages of the "Giro d'Italia Women UCI WWT 2026", relegated to the remaining podium positions the twenty-one-year-old Belluno native Livielle Ongarato (Horizons Cycling Club) and the powerful Russian Polina Danshina (Petrucci Gauss Cycling Team).

Excellent performance by eighteen-year-old Brescian Elisa Bianchi from Lograto (Biesse - Carrera - Zambelli), who crossed the finish line in fourth position, topping the special ranking reserved for the junior category ahead of two-time world track champion Agata Campana (Bft Burzoni - Vo2 Team Pink) and the recent winner of the "Trofeo Latterie Inalpi - Annibale Viterie" in Racconigi (CN) Elena D'Agnese (Team Ceresetto - Canturino).

The 90 athletes competing (59 elite and 35 junior) battled over 92.4 kilometers on the roads of a city circuit measuring 7,600 meters, almost completely flat, repeated twelve times. Also at stake was the eighty-seventh edition of the historic "Coppa Caivano", one of the longest-running competitions in the national and international cycling landscape, combined with the second "Gold Medal Dott. Giacinto Russo - Trophy City Metropolitan Area of Naples". The final stage of the "Giro Mediterraneo in Rosa" was organized in collaboration with the U.S.B. Caivanese of owner Massimiliano Ponticelli and vice president Giuseppe Celardo.

In light of these results, Russian Polina Danshina (Petrucci Gauss Cycling Team) secured the final general classification of the "Giro Mediterraneo in Rosa" reserved for the elite category, ahead of Friuli native Chantal Pegolo from Pasiano di Pordenone (Isolmant - Premac - Vittoria) and Alessia Zambelli (Biesse - Carrara - Premac). The tenacious Elisa Bianchi (Biesse - Carrera - Zambelli), who finished on the podium in all stages, topped the junior rankings, distancing world track champion Angelina Novolodskaya (Petrucci Gauss Cycling Team) and Emilia Romagna regional champion Alessia Orsi (Bft Burzoni - Vo2 Team Pink). Abruzzese Giulia Giuliani from Corvara (Team Mendelspeck e-work) proved to be the strongest climber, while Marta Pavesi from Sirone in Lecco (Top Girls - Fassa Bortolo) maintained the cyclamen jersey reserved for sprint finishes. At the generous awards ceremony, in the crowded center of the city of Caivano, Mayor Antonio Angelino did not want to miss out, along with sports assessor Orsella Russo, and Italian Cycling Federation councilor Iolanda Ragosta.
