The Sierra Morena of Córdoba welcomes the Vuelta with plenty - decidedly too much - heat to the point that today's stage has been shortened. The Palma del Río - Córdoba stage, in fact, will cover 110.2 kilometers, instead of the originally planned 189.7 kilometers.

Delayed start, therefore, with reduced distance and a winding route that promises a succession of attacks from riders ready to hunt for glory. Everything suggests a crackling stage and perhaps, as happened yesterday, not a breakaway but a group split in two.
