The two concluding races of the "Three Days in Pink in the Lands of Granda 2026" are drawing near, an event reserved for the women's open category strongly desired and organized by the Racconigi Cycling Team of president Silvio Traversa and team manager Claudio Vassallo. Following the second edition of the "Trofeo Cassa di Risparmio di Fossano - Città di Fossano", won by multi-world track champion Agata Campana (Bft Burzoni - Vo2 Team Pink), the two final stages are scheduled for the second weekend of September in the heart of the city of Racconigi, in the province of Cuneo.
Saturday the 12th (starting at 4:30 PM) will feature a spectacular individual time trial, 2,850 meters long and completely flat, which will award the "Memorial Franco Traversa", while Sunday the 13th (with the start set for 9:30 AM) will see the traditional "Trofeo Latterie Inalpi - Annibale Viterie", now in its thirteenth edition. A total of 106.8 kilometers of racing, divided into two distinct circuits with no particular altimetric difficulties: the first, to be repeated eight times, is laid out on the roads between Racconigi and Cavallerleone, while the second, shorter circuit, to be tackled four times, is entirely contained within the streets of the city where Umberto II, Italy's last king, was born. The "Three Days in Pink in the Lands of Granda 2026" enjoys the valuable support of the Piedmont Regional Council and the General States - Prevention and Wellness and is sponsored by the Piedmont Region, the Province of Cuneo, the City of Racconigi, the City of Fossano, and ATL (Local Tourism Agency of the Cuneese area).
At the end of the double competition, two separate classifications will be drawn up: one reserved for elite women, with the white jersey "Latterie Inalpi", and another reserved for junior women, with the blue jersey "Annibale Viterie". Also at stake is the light blue jersey "Banca Cassa di Risparmio di Savigliano S.P.A." reserved for the winner of the sprint points. In each of the races, for each category, the following points will be awarded: first place 100 points, second place 90 points, third place 80 points, fourth place 70 points, fifth place 60 points, from sixth to last place 30 points, while retired athletes receive 15 points. In case of a tie in points, the athlete who participated in more races will win, while in case of a further tie, the federation regulations will apply.
After the Fossano race, the general classification for the elite category is led by the powerful Russian Valeriia Valgonen (Toyota Valencia - SAV), ahead of Lara Crestanello from Vicenza (Isolmant - Premac - Vittoria) and Tuscan Serena Semoli (AR Monex Pro Cycling Team). Trentino Agata Campana (Bft Burzoni - Vo2 Team Pink),
dominant in both editions of the "Trofeo Cassa di Risparmio di Fossano - Città di Fossano", leads among the juniors, ahead of track world champion Matilde Rossignoli (Bft Burzoni - Vo2 Team Pink) and Friulian Ambra Savorgnano of Team Ceresetto - Canturino. In the sprint points standings, finally, first place goes to second-year junior Carlotta Petris (Team Ceresetto - Canturino), ahead of the more experienced Sara Luccon (Top Girls - Fassa Bortolo) and Agata Campana (Bft Burzoni - Vo2 Team Pink).
