The traditional stage of the women's Giro di Toscana starting from Serravalle Pistoiese and finishing in the center of Quarrata, on the roads of the unforgettable Franco Ballerini with the flying finish with time bonuses at Casalguidi in front of the mural dedicated to "Ballero", was won by the Italian track cyclist Martina Alzini.

From Legnano in Milan, she boasts a career full of successes and titles, including two World Championships in team pursuit. Martina demonstrated her sprint prowess ahead of the entire peloton, securing not only the stage victory but also the pink jersey as the race leader. The Italian cyclists performed brilliantly, with Quagliotto, the stage winner's teammate, finishing second, and Crestanello in fourth place, while third place went to Bobnar. The stage saw a compact peloton for the first 50 km with Italian Alzini first at the flying finish ahead of Vanderaerden and Crestanello, followed by a breakaway of five riders (Curnis, Marett, Luccon, La Bella, Bonelli) who built a maximum advantage of 45 seconds before being caught 20 km from the finish. The peloton remained compact at the start of the final lap, with a couple of unsuccessful attacks in the closing stages, leading to a mass sprint where the Milanese Alzini prevailed decisively.

At the end of the stage, in addition to the traditional prize of representation for the stage winner, special artworks were presented as gifts—genuine works of art created by the "Arti e Mestieri" group of the Maic Foundation of Pistoia, made directly at the Rehabilitation Center in San Biagio. Tomorrow's penultimate stage will start and finish in Segromigno in Piano, after a Holy Mass celebration and ceremony at the local cemetery in the morning to remember Michela Fanini and her mother Giulietta, wife of race organizer Brunello Fanini. The Lucca stage covers 116 kilometers with the Valgiano climb 6 km from the finish. The start is at 1 p.m., with the finish expected shortly before 4 p.m.
