After closing a weekend without major upheavals, Gallina Lucchini Ecotek Colosio opens a new chapter of its season with another international venture. From August 29 to September 2, the elite and under-23 Lombard team will compete in the Tour of Bulgaria, an international race on the UCI Europe Tour calendar in the 2.2 class (open).
The race, now in its 73rd edition, remains one of the longest-running events in the European cycling calendar. The route features five stages, covering a total of 522 kilometers and 4,999 meters of elevation gain: starting from the coastal town of Primorsko, with the final finish in Troyan, featuring a course that alternates fast sections with more challenging terrain—ideal ground for explosive sprinters.
The team directed by Cesare Turchetti will present a young but already experienced roster: Giosuè Epis, Michele Bonometti, Stefano Ganini, Giosuè Crescioli, Valentino Mercatali, and Andrea Buti. A balanced group, with riders suited for rolling stages and explosive finishers for crowded sprint finishes.
