STAGI'S RATINGS. FROM THE MONTE CARLO CASINO, POGACAR'S NUMBER COMES UP AGAIN. ROMELE IS EXCELLENT

Tadej POGACAR. 10 and honors. Cautious, not overwhelming: so they say. He paints curves and draws dreams. If he senses prey, he never lets go. He finishes with a crescendo, after trailing Hayter by 3" at the intermediate checkpoint. He wins by nine thousandths. This evening, to celebrate, a vintage champagne. His twentieth victory of the season, for an exceptional rider. Victory number 20 in 38 days of racing. His 127th in his career. He's already gained around thirty seconds on all his direct rivals. The show can begin. For some, it's already over.

Ethan HAYTER. 9. He accelerates and relaunches, riding with an ease that is pure beauty. He does it on an F.1 circuit and does it with the skill of a centaur who excels in pedaling ability and bike handling. He's the first to break the 11' barrier: 10'57", at an average speed of 51.500.

Joshua TARLING. 10. He doesn't surprise, but does what was expected of him. Let's not forget, however, what this young man has had to endure. The loss of his brother and also his grandfather. Life goes on, but with a broken heart.

Callum THORNLEY. 8. Six laps this morning for reconnaissance. He memorizes the course, packed with curves. In the end, the 23-year-old British Red Bull rider puts in a great time trial, eyes closed and foot on the gas.

Leo BISEAUX. 7.5. If Decathlon had done a team time trial, there would have been no contest. They all go fast, including this just 21-year-old kid. Lots of young riders and all of great quality.

Stefan KÜNG. 5. He was among the big favorites, performs worse than Kluckers.

Oscar CHAMBERLAIN. 7.5. The Australian is only 21 years old, but he has talent and it shows at first glance. You can also see that the team is a team (Decathlon) of value: today they all go fast: they don't know how to slow down.

Wout VAN AERT. 6. He'd like to do well, does okay.

Arthur KLUCKERS. 7. The 26-year-old Luxembourg rider from Tudor takes satisfaction in recovering the effort on the "hot seat" after posting the best time. He gives a reference point to Küng: he gives him the time.

Alessandro ROMELE. 7.5. The 22-year-old rider from Bergamo with XDS Astana puts on display a performance of great technical content. He races to leave a mark and he does.

Ivan ROMEO. 5.5. Starts well, finishes at a crawl.

José Manuel DIAZ. 7. He's 31 years old, no longer a kid, but he rides a time trial with the lightness of a youngster.

Matthew BRENNAN. 7.5. The 21-year-old British Visma rider confirms all the good things said about him. A high-level performance: and he raises it. Half a point extra for a sandwich that the Brit devours on the "hot seat".

Jordan LABROSSE. 7. The 23-year-old from Decathlon CMA CGM takes the top of the standings for a while, posting a time of 11'20", at an average speed of 48.700. He's dethroned by his teammate Sander De Pestel, who is swept away by Brennan in a flash. Not even time to get off the bike.

Orluis AULAR. 7. The 29-year-old Venezuelan from Movistar is a fast man, in the sense of a sprinter, and he covers the 9400 meters with Labrosse's time: too bad for those two tenths.

Mathias SKJELMOSE. 5.5. He has everything to do well, but his performance is so-so. Slightly behind at the intermediate checkpoint, as well as at the finish. But we're only at the beginning.

Eric MAS. 5. Does the bare minimum, so as not to mess up his hair.

Tobias JOHANNESSEN. 6. The 26-year-old Norwegian is one of the leaders of Visma Lease a Bike. He puts in a decent performance: he'll improve.

Richard CARAPAZ. 6. He's here not to win the Vuelta, but above all not to burn himself out in a time trial that for the "Locomotora" means really little, almost nothing. He does his thing, without doing what he'll do when the road starts to climb.

Cian UIJTDEBROEKS. 4. It's fine to do a controlled performance, but his is almost stationary.
