Georg Steinhauser has always raced in the WorldTour with EF Education – EasyPost, but now he will return to Germany to begin a new chapter of his career with Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe. There he will reunite with Florian Lipowitz, with whom he raced for two years before both turned professional.

This season, Georg Steinhauser has once again demonstrated his qualities. Third place in the general classification and the white jersey at Paris-Nice have shown his versatility. The climber has attracted attention with his spectacular solo stage victory at the 2024 Giro d'Italia and has since established himself as one of Germany's most promising riders.

"Georg combines climbing abilities, race intelligence and an attacking mentality. He has achieved success through hard work over recent years and we believe he is still far from reaching his full potential. Together, we want to continue supporting his growth and provide him with the best possible environment to take the next step in his career" explains Zak Dempster, Sport Director of the German team.
