On July 20th, 2026, the winding hairpin turns that lead from Fiordalpe towards the Fraele towers will be the setting for an exceptional charity event: the third edition of the Everesting that Sarah Palfrader will undertake for charitable purposes, supported by the PedalAyuda team and by many people who believe in her endeavor. The goal of this "Everesting for Life" 2026 is to reach – or get close to – 35,000 euros for the purchase of an ultrasound machine to be donated to the Breast Unit of Sondalo hospital. An important and challenging target that will allow all women to access these essential life-saving preventive examinations more easily.

«I am nobody – Sarah Palfrader demurs – but if with my "small" climb I can contribute something, I won't back down; this year the goal of the Everesting won't be the Stelvio but rather Cancano, where I will pedal 15 times over the hairpin turns together with anyone who wants to join freely. There's nothing organized – everyone is free to manage themselves and follow us even just for a small stretch of road; with me there will also be Clemente, Daniele, Fiorenzo, Marco and Michele who will face the same challenge and with their presence they will give me incredible strength. I hope in this way to be useful to Sondalo hospital and send a message to all women about the importance of prevention and self-care».

Sarah doesn't like the spotlight; she much prefers to sit in the saddle and rack up kilometers on the pedals, perhaps sweating and suffering, but grateful to still be able to do it. For Sarah, in fact, "the bicycle was the instrument to win the most difficult challenge: cancer"; today, that same vehicle provides her with the motivation and energy to direct it towards something that goes well beyond simply climbing a peak and contributes to building a world where the person, with their relationships and humanity, returns to being at the center of everything. Her story proves that it can be done: her private battle against illness has transformed today into a movement of solidarity where every contribution is a spark of energy and hope.

The beating heart of this 2026 Everesting will once again be Bormio Golf, which will come alive with numerous side activities while waiting for the cyclists to return from their final effort. The event is free, open to all, and everyone is welcome: you can participate in any of the numerous activities or simply take a look around. No one is asked for a mandatory commitment, simply to have an open mind and heart to appreciate the beauty of a day lived in the sharing of common purpose.
