Just days before the start of the Tour de France, Jai Hindley has sent a clear message about his future by signing a long-term contract extension with Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe.
The partnership between the Australian rider - who in recent weeks had been the subject of speculation about a possible team change and whose name had been particularly linked with Visma Lease a Bike - and the German team began spectacularly: already in his first season with the squad, Hindley claimed victory at the 2022 Giro d'Italia, securing the team's first Grand Tour win in its history.
This success was followed by a stage victory and a day in the yellow jersey at the 2023 Tour de France. After finishing just 30 seconds off the podium at the 2025 Vuelta a España, the thirty-year-old returned to this year's Giro d'Italia claiming third place in the general classification and another Grand Tour podium.
Thanks to his consistency in three-week races, his experience and his role within the team, Hindley has established himself as one of the key riders for the Grand Tours at Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe.
«Jai has been one of the best riders in the world in the Grand Tours for many years. What makes him so valuable to us goes beyond his results: he is an important example for the entire team, particularly for the next generation of Grand Tour riders. The fact that he has decided to tie his future to our team is a strong statement» explains Zak Dempster, Team Director of the squad.
Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe reaffirms its commitment to continuity. Jai Hindley will continue to play a central role in the team's Grand Tour ambitions in the years to come. His importance goes well beyond his road results. Over the years, the Australian has become one of the team's leading figures and a point of reference for emerging talents such as Giulio Pellizzari and Luke Tuckwell.
«I am very happy and grateful to have extended my contract and to continue my journey with Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe. I love working with all the team members and for me it is like a second family. I have great personal ambitions, as does the entire team, and I believe this is the right environment to continue growing and improving. Thank you to the entire team for the continued trust».
