Team XDS Astana riders swept the entire podium in the time trial at the Kazakhstan National Championships. Evgeniy Fedorov defended the title he won last year, posting the best time on the 30.8-kilometer course: 35 minutes and 11 seconds. Nicolas Vinokurov claimed the silver medal (his first medal at the national championships in the Elite category), finishing 1 minute and 7 seconds behind Fedorov. Anton Kuzmin completed the podium, placing third, 1 minute and 34 seconds behind the winner.

"Today's race took place in the rain, but it was warm enough, so the weather didn't have a significant impact on the results. I tried to give my best and everything went well. I arrived at the Kazakhstan National Championships right after the Tour de Suisse. It wasn't an easy race, but I put in an excellent individual time trial performance in Switzerland and now I've managed to repeat last year's success here at the National Championships," said Evgeniy Fedorov.
