After yesterday's Nevegal time trial climb, which as expected reshuffled the general classification hierarchy, the Giro d'Italia Women continues with a stage entirely in the Belluno province: on the program is the Longarone – Santo Stefano di Cadore 146 km, with 3,400 meters of elevation gain.

The route, as mentioned, is entirely in the province of Belluno and features 4 climbs that are not necessarily prohibitive, but could still hurt. It starts with the Tre Croci pass, positioned after about fifty kilometers (7.9 km with an average gradient of 7.2%), then a long descent will lead down to Auronzo di Cadore where the climb will resume towards the Sant'Antonio pass (8.3 km with an average of 7.5% and peaks of 15%).
The race will then face the double ascent of the Costa climb: it's only 4 km, but with an average gradient of over 9%. At the final summit, there will be 16 km remaining to the finish line, then it's all downhill. Many athletes in the peloton are thinking only about the Sestriere stage, but this day in Veneto, precisely because it's underestimated, could cause significant damage, especially since, after the pink earthquake signed yesterday by Anna Van der Breggen, the Dutch rider's rivals have the obligation to start attacking in order to try to make up ground.
