In a Giro d'Italia that is truly forgettable for him so far - he sits 28th in the general classification, 13 minutes behind Eulalio - Enric Mas found a moment to smile when photos began circulating on social media revealing that he had raced several stages wearing the jersey of Movistar's women's team, which is graphically identical to the men's version but characterized by their UCI Women's WorldTour.

When colleagues from L'Équipe asked him why, Mas explained: "I always wear a small size jersey, perhaps there was an error in the kit distribution. Actually, I don't mind, I didn't check carefully, I just thought about pedaling. Everything was my size, the shorts fit perfectly. The only difference was the logo on the jersey."

Even his teammates hadn't noticed, and Mas himself reveals: "It was Ivan Garcia Cortina who pointed it out to me, and in the end we had a good laugh about it."
