Mischa Bredewold of Team SD Worx-Protime claimed victory, outsprinting a small group of four other breakaway riders. The best Italian of the day was Letizia Borghesi (AG Insurance-Soudal Team) who finished in tenth place in the group that crossed the finish line 18 seconds behind the winner.
