He spent his entire life in the toy business, Mr. Androni, living among playthings with the smile of children, with the simplicity of someone who knew how to have fun even with soap bubbles. Mario Androni passed away this afternoon, after an earthly journey that had become a dream. For some time now his mind had grown light and his dreams like confetti to be caught on the wing. A mere breath of wind was enough to bring back his smile, to let himself be carried away to a fantastic world, where he had already gone some time ago, but his smile, his kind eyes comforted us until the very end.

Mr. Androni has left us, the master of toys, the one with buckets and little beach shovels, but also the master of cycling, who for many years linked his name and that of his company to Gianni Savio and Marco Bellini, with whom he created many teams. He left us with an afternoon nap, in that Monastery of Angera where he was born and where we who frequented it found it to be truly a paradise. He went to stay there, in that corner of beauty and peace, in the shadow of an austere Fortress, which for children's eyes was simply a place from a fairy tale.
