The 2026 Giro delle Marche in Pink has chosen Offida, the lace-making town, to host a two-day event dedicated to women's cycling at national and international level, for elite, under 23 and junior categories. The two stages, organized by the Ciclo Amanti Society under the careful direction of President Gianni Spaccasassi, represent the soul of an event that combines sport with the promotion of the territory.
Hostilities will open on Saturday, May 9th with a first stage of 90 kilometers total. The athletes will compete on a 6-kilometer circuit to be repeated fifteen times, characterized by a flowing course that will start at 2:00 PM from Viale della Repubblica and then wind through Viale IV Novembre, Viale Giuseppe Mazzini and the new ring road before returning to Viale della Repubblica. Although the altimetric profile lends itself to bold attacks and breakaways, the outcome of the race will depend on the ability of the sprinters' teams to control the race and neutralize any attempt to break away before the finish line.
The challenge will become even more intense on Sunday, May 10th, the final day which will develop over a distance of approximately 100 kilometers. After an initial section consisting of twelve laps of the urban and extra-urban circuit tackled the previous day, the race will face a final segment of approximately 28 kilometers where the climbs will begin to take their toll. It will be the four passages over the Santa Maria della Rocca climb that will make the selection and decide the winner, with the start (at 2:00 PM) and finish both set in the heart of Offida on Viale della Repubblica.
In addition to stage victories, the competition will award six jerseys: the Pink (Ambedo Tornitori) for the leader of the general classification, the Blue (Max Impianti) for the best climber, the Green (Di Nicola) for the sprint points, the White (Totaro) for junior athletes born in 2008 and 2009, the Yellow (Peroni) for the best foreign athlete and the Red (Eco Innova) for the best under 20 rider.
The international value of the event is testified by the presence of approximately 160 athletes belonging to 20 teams from all five continents. At the starting line will be nations such as Mauritius, Afghanistan, Ukraine, China, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Benin, Russia, Japan, Slovenia, Austria, Australia, Albania and Mexico.
Among the most anticipated names is that of Gaia Tormena, six-time world champion in mountain bike eliminator, ready to test herself on the road in a context that last year saw the triumph of Friuli's Chantal Pegolo, who later won silver at the world championships in Rwanda and bronze at the European championships in France.
Under the race direction of Fabio De Carolis and vice-director Michele Bravi, the event will enjoy significant media visibility, assured by the complete live streaming curated by Toscana Sprint on its YouTube channel, thus allowing cycling enthusiasts from around the world to follow the key phases of the race.
