"Remco forever": Evenepoel signs a lifetime agreement with American bicycle manufacturer Specialized. The Flemish champion has been using these bikes since the beginning of his professional career in 2019 with Belgian Quick Step: it's the same with his current Red Bull-Bora Hansgrohe team and will continue to be so forever.
A relationship that goes far beyond sporting and technical collaboration. "I've been working with Specialized since the beginning - explained Evenepoel, 26 years old, two Olympic titles and four world championships -. They were present in the victories, in the defeats and in everything in between. We have complete mutual trust, and that's why a lifetime agreement seems like a logical step to me, both for my cycling career and for the future. I still have many objectives to achieve and the awareness of being able to count on Specialized's support to realize them gives me confidence. We share the same work ethic, we challenge each other to improve and I'm curious to see where this journey will take us".
Specialized has had iconic testimonials like Peter Sagan and Demi Vollering, but the lifetime agreement with Evenepoel is something unique. "Remco is no ordinary champion. He embodies the spirit for which I founded Specialized: hard work, integrity and resilience - states Mike Sinyard, founder and president of Specialized -. He pushes us forward, challenges us and makes every bike we build better for every cyclist. This is not just a lifetime partnership: it's an endless conviction. Remco forever".
Meanwhile, this Sunday there's a Liège-Bastogne-Liège to win, for the third time, against Pogacar and Seixas. In the saddle of a Specialized.
