London will host a historic moment for women's cycling with the organization of the first women's team time trial in Tour de France history. The Tour de France Femmes with Zwift, which will take place on the streets of the capital as part of the 2027 Grand Départ in Great Britain, will be a historic event. This stage will see the world's best female cyclists compete in a team time trial, composed of seven athletes, on an iconic 18-kilometer circuit in the heart of London, with the finish on The Mall, one of the most emblematic sporting venues in the United Kingdom. The chosen location and the festive atmosphere that will envelop the city will recall the Tour de France's first encounter with the English capital twenty years earlier, during an individual time trial won by Fabian Cancellara.

The details of the first two stages have been officially announced in the presence of Marion Rousse, director of the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift, accompanied by British cyclists Cat Ferguson (Movistar Team) and Flora Perkins (Fenix-Premier Tech) at Canada Gate, overlooking the finish line of the third stage on The Mall. They were joined by seven young women involved in JOY, the social impact program of the Grand Départ. The first two stages will take the peloton from Leeds to Manchester and then from Manchester to Sheffield, offering two challenging racing days through Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, and the Peak District in Derbyshire.

Marion Rousse, Director of the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift: “The team time trial has always been one of the most spectacular formats in cycling and we are very proud that the first of these events in the history of the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift will take place in London. The United Kingdom has already demonstrated its passion for the Tour and these stages will once again showcase the energy of the fans, the beauty of the landscapes, and the growing importance of women's cycling on the international stage.”

Cat Ferguson, Movistar Team cyclist: “Having the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift so close to home is like closing a circle. As a child, in 2014, I followed the men's race from the roadside near my home and now I hope to have the opportunity, next year, to start and race in the peloton. I greatly appreciate the progress made by professional women's cycling. If I could inspire, even in a small way, some women or girls to get on their bikes, I would be very happy. I know that British fans will make this experience unforgettable for all the athletes. I can't wait for the start of the 2027 Tour de France”.

Flora Perkins, Fenix – Premier Tech athlete: “I am truly excited that the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift is coming to London, the city where I grew up cycling. It will be a truly special moment. I can't wait to show the cycling world everything that London has to offer. I also know that it's an opportunity to share my passion for cycling and competition with Londoners. I hope that especially the girls will come to watch this race and realize that competitive cycling is one of the most beautiful things there is and that they too can practice it.”

Friday, July 30
Stage 1: Leeds > Manchester, 85.7 km
Starting from Headrow, in the center of Leeds, and just like the men's group in 2014, the first British stage of the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift will cross Headingley and the western part of the city, then the Kirklees district passing through Heckmondwike and Mirfield to Huddersfield. The route will then head south to cross the Pennines, with the first categorized climb, the Côte de Kirkheaton (1.7 km at 7.5%), followed by Meltham Hill (3.2 km at 8.4%), before descending towards Oldham along the Dove Stone reservoir. The cyclists will then face the climb of Delph (2.1 km at 6.3%) approximately twenty kilometers from the finish, before skirting the northern area of Greater Manchester passing through Rochdale and entering the center of Manchester. After passing the cathedral, the finish line will be located at Deansgate, near Manchester.

Saturday, July 31
Stage 2: Manchester > Sheffield, 154.4 km
The race will resume from Manchester for a particularly challenging stage through Derbyshire and the Peak District to Sheffield. After Stockport, Marple, and New Mills, the first difficulties will appear with the uncategorized climb of Long Hill before Buxton (km 34.6). The stage will present almost 3,000 meters of elevation gain, with iconic climbs such as Winnats Pass and Snake Pass. The race will enter Sheffield through a series of short but demanding climbs, including Oughtibridge and the famous Jenkin Road, which was the scene of the 2014 Tour de France finish. The finish line will be at Attercliffe Common, where Vincenzo Nibali won in 2014, but this time in the opposite direction.

Sunday, August 1
Stage 3: Team Time Trial in London
The cyclists will face the team time trial on an 18-kilometer route in the heart of London, with the finish on The Mall.
