Another young Italian talent is entering the orbit of a WorldTour team. «Lotto-Intermarchè is proud to announce the signing of Brandon Fedrizzi (17). The young Italian has recently won the E3 Saxo Classic Nations Cup Juniors and will join our team for the next four seasons».
Starting in January 2027, Brandon Fedrizzi will wear the jersey of the Lotto-Groupe Wanty Development Team for two seasons. After that, he will make the jump to the top level for at least two seasons by joining the Lotto-Intermarchè WorldTour team. Fedrizzi, currently in the junior category, who recently won the E3 Saxo Classic Nations Cup Juniors, will therefore sign a four-year contract. With this gradual approach, Lotto-Intermarchè aims to give the young and talented rider the time and support necessary to develop to the highest level, as is in the DNA of the team.
Brandon Fedrizzi is a young Italian sprinter from Bolzano, currently racing for the Italian team Borgo Molino Vigna Fiorita. In addition to his victory in this year's E3 Saxo Classic, he also achieved victory in the GP Giuliano Baronti, second place in the Piccola Liegi Delle Bregonze - Casa Enrico and third place in the GP Rinascita.
Fedrizzi: «I chose Lotto-Groupe Wanty and Lotto-Intermarchè because their professional development team is highly regarded. It's what I've always dreamed of. I can't wait to learn a lot and make the jump to the highest level of cycling. Furthermore, I am convinced that, as a sprinter with a great passion for the Classics, Lotto-Intermarchè is the right place for me».
Attention to talent development has always been a key element in the DNA of Lotto-Intermarchè. The team offers riders structured support, with the assistance of coaches, nutritionists and training opportunities through training camps. In this way, Brandon Fedrizzi joins the list of past talents such as Felix Ørn-Kristoff, Simone Gualdi, Mathieu Kockelmann, Matys Grisel and Jarno Widar, with the goal of growing step by step towards the highest level of cycling.
Sporting Director Kurt Van de Wouwer stated: «Talent development is one of Lotto-Intermarchè's strengths. Our talent development program is among the best in the WorldTour. Over the past five years, our team has launched 28 cyclists into the professional peloton. Fedrizzi is very young and has signed a four-year contract, which will give him the opportunity to grow calmly in a protected environment».
Chief Executive Officer Jean-François Bourlart stated: «Attracting promising young riders fits perfectly with our long-term vision. We want to build a sustainable future with talents that we can develop internally to invest in the next generation of champions. Brandon Fedrizzi is an excellent example of our ambition. We are fully convinced of his potential».
